John Purchase Public School P&C Association
All volunteers must complete two checks before helping at any P&C event.
1. Digital Declaration (one-time only)
All volunteers are required to complete a Digital Declaration form, even for non-child-related roles. This form is sent via email from the school. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
This process follows DET procedures, so a small amount of patience with admin requirements is appreciated. If you have any questions about the declaration, please contact the school office.
2. ID Check (required at every event)
All volunteers must present to the school office and show ID before each event — this applies every time, regardless of previous visits. It’s a simple licence check that only takes a couple of minutes.
This check can be completed any time in the lead-up to an event, up until a designated cut-off time on the day. Volunteers are encouraged to complete this early rather than leaving it until the last minute.
On the Night
– Sign in using the QR code displayed in the window of the admin office, or via the office iPad if the office is open when your shift starts
– Wear your name badge so you’re easily identifiable
– If someone offers to help who hasn’t been formally checked, please politely decline — this is a non-negotiable safety requirement
These checks protect our kids, our school community, and our volunteers.
