John Purchase Public School P&C Association
The JPPS P&C works alongside the school to identify projects that make a real and lasting difference to our children's learning environment. This page gives our parent community a clear picture of what we're working toward over the next few years — what we've already started, what we have our sights set on, and how you can help us get there.
In 2026, the P&C remains committed to continuing to improve the learning environment at JPPS — and our classroom support program is a testament to that commitment. Over the last three years, the P&C has contributed a total of $144,972 to the school — funding that has gone directly toward computers, Promethean interactive screens, and a language support teacher. These are not small gestures; they represent our community's dedication to giving every child here the best possible start.
The Promethean screen rollout is well underway — with installation now more than halfway through the school's classrooms. The remaining classrooms are still to be updated as part of the program, and we are committed to seeing it through to completion.
We're excited for every student and teacher to benefit as the rollout continues. Looking ahead, one of our ongoing goals is to continue upgrading technology across all classrooms — ensuring every student has access to modern tools that support the way they learn today and into the future.
If you've spent time in the school grounds recently, you'll have noticed that our outdoor spaces are due for some love. These are the priorities we're committed to delivering over the coming years, all aimed at the same goal: giving our kids more reasons to get outside, move, and learn — while keeping them better protected from the sun.
Shaded Seating & Outdoor Learning Areas
Our outdoor spaces should be places where students genuinely want to spend time — comfortable, shaded, and inviting. We want to see better surfaces, more engaging features, and areas that are safer and more accessible, so that outdoor learning and play become a natural part of every school day.
We are proud to share that the upgrade of the outdoor bench seating has been approved and fully funded by the P&C — our way of giving back to the school. At our May General Meeting, members approved $15,500 to deliver five brand new benches to the school's general outdoor learning areas, giving students comfortable, accessible spaces to gather, learn, and connect throughout the day.
This is your P&C community fundraising at work, directly delivering something tangible for every student at JPPS. Things are well and truly in motion. Watch this space!
These are not small ambitions, and we'll need strong community support to bring them to life. Our approach to fundraising is deliberately varied — rather than relying on any single source, we run a range of community events and school initiatives throughout the year, each one building toward our longer-term goals while also being an occasion to bring families together.
From breakfasts and stalls to seasonal celebrations and whole-school activities, these events are only possible because of the generosity and enthusiasm of our school community. When families show up, volunteer their time, and participate in what we run — that is what makes the difference. We are genuinely grateful for the support our community brings to every event we organise, and we hope to see that spirit continue in the years ahead.
Alongside our community events, we are also actively pursuing corporate and local business sponsorships. We have sponsorship packages available at a range of contribution levels, which means there are multiple ways for businesses to get involved and have their name associated with real, visible improvements at JPPS. Whether a business wants to sponsor a shaded seating area, contribute to the outdoor play upgrade, or support our program more broadly — there is a place for them in what we're building.
If you know a local business that might be interested in getting involved, we would love an introduction. And if you'd like to play a more active role in the P&C or our fundraising activities, please reach out — every pair of hands makes a genuine difference.
